Jewellery Care
RAGVI pieces are stainless steel with a gold or silver finish. Treated well, that finish stays bright for a long time. A few simple habits make the difference.
Wearing Your Jewellery
Put your jewellery on last, once perfume, hairspray, moisturiser and sanitiser have fully dried. Alcohol and oils are what dull a finish fastest.
Take it off first — before you shower, swim, exercise or sleep. Chlorine, salt water, sweat and friction all shorten the life of a finish.
Avoid wearing pieces while cleaning, cooking or handling chemicals of any kind.
Cleaning
Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing it. This single habit does more than any cleaning product.
Never use water, soap, toothpaste, jewellery dips or silver polish on our pieces. They strip the finish.
Clean around stones gently. Do not soak, scrub or use ultrasonic cleaners.
Storing
Store each piece separately in the pouch it arrived in, so pieces do not rub against one another.
Keep your jewellery somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight. A bathroom shelf is the one place it should not live.
Fasten clasps and lay chains flat or hang them, so they do not knot.
What To Expect Over Time
Imitation jewellery has a surface finish; it is not solid precious metal. With regular wear the finish will soften gradually — this is normal and is not a manufacturing fault.
Slight variation in colour, stone tone and finish between pieces is part of how they are made, and is not a defect.
